Statement

I am a nostalgic artist, drawn to the familiar urban landscapes of San Francisco and the vast coasts of the Pacific Northwest. I seek texture and polarities-- grime, funk and the geometry of the human figure.  I think of photography as a cinematic daydream-- returning to the theme of nature versus industrialism throughout many of my works. My art is an effort to preserve fleeting moments, to pay respects to the experience of loss in life and embody the desire to return to a place that no longer exists.
